Sherief Elkatsha

Sherief Elkatsha (b. 1973) was born in the US, but raised in Cairo, Egypt. He is best known for Cairo Drive (2013), Butts Out (2006) and Boys Don’t Cry (1999). He won two prizes for Cairo Drive, at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival and at DOC NYC. Ha also won the best documentary prize at New England Film and Video Festival for Butts Out.
